My practice encompasses a variety of experimental processes that animate both natural and constructed environments, seeking to form connections between culture, nature and place. I am concerned with how physical, tactile interactions in nature can shape our inner experiences and understanding of the world. I currently live and work in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

While going through the alley taking photographs I stumbled across this discarded carpet. I was really intrigued by the form of the folds and the context. It began a dialogue about the worn decayed nature of the material over time and its place in a back alley where materials that are regularly discarded and thrown become an object of beauty or a work of art.
